>rym just for the wishlist pretty much

That sounds neat. How do you manage it?
>no 1TB SD cards
I have just over 1, but why would you need it all on your phone man? I have about 20GB and I'm fine.

My seed box is offsite. I have a data cap at home, so I have my seed box downloading my stuff to an external hard drive. Once a week I go get it and bring it home.
>>68754060
>I have about 20GB and I'm fine.
That's because you're a pleb
>>68754060
I have 50% on my phone and it's not great half the time
>fuck you know what song I miss and need to hear right now? *Insert song here*

On a PHONE
>>68754076
Gotcha. You know it might be worth just learning a lil bit of ssh so you can just do it over the internet. It gets really easy after a couple tries

story of my fucking life
>>68754086
>>68754077
So how do you do it then?
>>68753953
>notebook listening log
Do you rate the tracks on a scale of 1-10 and then average them for your score for the album?
>>68754101
I remote in to it to add torrents, but I have the 300GB data cap at my house. Would SSH let me transfer without destroying that?
>>68754047
Well, it's not so much of a literal listening log but a list of every album I've listened to in the last 2 or 3 or however many years I've had it. I list it more or less in this format:
Catalog number - Composer or band - Performing artist if applicable - Album title - label
Most of the "neatness" lies in the extent to which I make sure the album I've listened to is actually the right version, a clean rip, etc, making it worth being included in the list. Pretty fun to keep because somehow rym or discogs seems too unstable or imperfect even. But definitely obsession fodder

Google play music for emergencies. It holds my entire library but gotta use wifi or 4g, and that niggers my battery
>>68754162
Okay cause my friend does this and I didn't know if he comes here or not but thanks anon
>>68754180
yep, any recs?
>>68754123
Its gonna use Data so yes, but if its just for like a few albums every once in a while I think 300 should be enough
>>68753953
>not keeping itunes tidy
a tidy itunes is better than sex lol
>>68754250
I used to obsessively organize on foobar, that shit was nice. itunes seems to lend itself less to tags and organization imo, so I fell out of the habit when I got a mac and switched. I'd organize it but it'd just take forever, hence the list. that looks nice though
>>68754290
yep it takes a bitchin long time, thanks senpai
>>68754207
FiiO M3
>>68754290
Just getting into foobar myself, shits hard to organize. It sucks.
>>68754363
it's harder, but it's nice for organization I think because it directly follows the organization of your music files on your computer. it's more transparent
>>68754344
need epic sound quality
>>68754421
Just get any and an external DAC
>What.CD
Seems cool but that interview is shit dude.

>>68754634

Also >stuff you should already know
Why should I know so much obscure crap?
>>68754616
I agree desu except
a) whenever people are like MAC lol, I bet you're some fanboy I can only think to myself, sure, which of us has ever fanboyed
and
b) whenever I have to actually use one of my friends' slow ass annoying computers
call me less than tech savvy, whatever
>>68754738
If you download music, you need to know a lil bit about fileformats and torrenting and allthat
Whatcd takes it a step further because they're trying to keep a pristine library and community, and they've been doing so well for years.
the main reason to join is to be a part of that, its not like you cant find just as much music elsewhere
>>68754769
To be fair, they ask a lot that your average downloader/seeder doesnt and won't ever use, they have it cut out for uploaders.
>>68755201
correct, uploading is way more of a priority
Spotify. Why would you need anything more? Offline download is available.
>>68755253
I want to own my music
I want to find it and keep it and make it mine
I want to take it where i want it
And use it as I please
I want to pay for music and make it MY music
I dont want to pay to have some company lend me its music.
Labels are enough, I don't need another middleman
I want facebook to stay far away from my music
>>68755338
You own it with Spotify
>>68755688
Yeah and then you stop paying for it and they take it away. That's not own
>>68755716
Yeah you pay for it and you own it that's own
What the fuck
1TB of music
You have a problem
