Name ONE thing that makes bon iver a bad or average album
Bonus points if you argue Beth/rest is not a great song.
modern geetar music

the overall aesthetic of Bon Iver is very emotional and very appealing (maybe it's just nostalgic to a time in my life i apply it to, though)

How is it modern in any way? Has a blend of different guitar styles like folk and jazz.
Well actually that actually might describe modern very well, a blend of the previously popular genres, but tell me why that's bad?

I think that the album's arrangements are pretty hit or miss. There are songs with so many layers of instrumentation that feel out of place for such a introverted and folk-y mood orientated record. Also, I have mixed feelings for the last track and its Gilmour worship guitar work in the album's context, although I enjoy it a lot.

Can't. It's my favorite album of the decade so far
It's alright but I liked the much more sparse arrangements on For Emma Forever Ago. Also not a fan of the 80's-ish pop aesthetic it had.

Do people actually care about this?

>Do people actually care about this?
When it gives you migraines listening to it with good headphones, yeah

What the hell does this mean? I know of some albums that have their treble just too loud, like AnCo's first album and interpol's last album.
But what the hell do people mean by BAD MIXING when there's nothing ignoring going on?

it's an alright album. not sure why he's so critically beloved.
the holocene performance on SNL was amazing though.
