Whats the best Talking Heads album?
And why is it Speaking in Tongues?
It's actually TH77. Thanks for playing
because you havent heard remain in light

I agree OP, at least for studio albums.
But that being said the SMS version of Slippery People is even better then the SIT versions
>tfw FoM / RiL / SiT are all interchangeable as the best
you could really feel SiT was their tipping point though
it was the best expression of what they wanted to say as a band and how big they could say it
I mean the next 3 albums have some decent tracks, but they weren't Talking Heads anymore

But you're 100% on the money about MSABAF as their artistic pinnacle.
Fear of Music > More Songs > Remain in Light > others
Talking heads are a band where their most well known really is their best
Fear of Music is their best. Personally, I can't stand SiT's production.

How can it be the artistic pinnacle when artistically they perfect that sound on Fear of Music/ Speaking in Tongues, and experimentally they go further on Remain in Light.
Remain in Light is the best. The songwriting breaks conventional structure giving them their vastest sound yet.

It's Remain in Light, the entire middle of Speaking in Tongues is boring.
