Is it bad both my favourite bands are /mu/-core or does it just not matter at all?
Realistically? No. though you should try to expand your taste as much as possible.

Oh don't get me wrong. I am constantly on the search for new music and am willing to try to get into most genres. But I just feel plebby that AF and Slint are the two bands I enjoy the most.

Literally nobody's opinion matters but your own, just like them if you want to

Mathy emo is a taste outside of just mu core. Just because you love a couple of albums that are recognized by most of us doesn't mean shit.
If you said,
>I only like mu core
>proceeded to list artists with no discernable similarities
Then you might be a bandwagon jumper but that's as bad as some people say. At least you're listening to good music.
music becomes /mu/core because people like it

LP 2 is the cringiest shit I've listened to in a looong time. It was so bland it made me retroactively think less of this album, which is a shame because I was obsessed with it a year ago.

I don't think it was that bad. It had some nice songs in it but nothing competes with Never Meant.

The riffs were just too bland and the mix is too processed for it to have any kind of resonance like their debut. Also Kinsella tries to create vocal melodies in LP 2 and it sounds soooo bad.

no, but like >>68620837 said, you should try exploring more music besides the given essentials. but it doesn't really matter anyways, "/mu/-core" doesn't exist in the real world.

it's bad that your favourite band is american football
I be t the other one is death grips
