I don't think it "loses steam hard" at all, Super Unison, New Math, and Human Interest are just as good as Golden Brown and Rome Plows, it kind of loses steam with the last song Sinews, because its so slow paced in comparison to everything else.

Sounds nothing like Relationship of Command (as far as post-hardcore goes they're very different albums). DLJ is also a staple within the genre, so it couldn't be more obvious you only just heard them

Fugazi, Slint and Unwound are the best post-hardcore bands by far, but the entire genre is a goldmine. Possibly my favourite in rock music, especially if you count noise rock and math rock as part of it
