Puce Mary, Pharmakon and Froelich from Consumer Electronics are the only ones I know.

pharmakon's music and live act are extremely trite and amateurish, the only reason she's as successful as she is is because sacred bones are marketing her to an audience that doesn't have any familiarity with the genre pharmakon is working within and who therefore can't tell how barebones, underdeveloped and played out her whole schtick is

puce mary's last album was a big improvement over everything else she's done in terms of composition and production but the emotional core of it has remained as vacuous and hollow as everything else she's done. it's empty music, just sounds arranged without much personal investment. this doesn't have anything to do with her being a woman but it does have a lot to do with her being a spoiled art-school kid who doesn't really have any strong personality or any large emotional stakes to present within her music. it's music that's made because she can make it, not because she has to make it, and that is why it's shit.

the introduction of sarah froelich into the lineup of consumer electronics has correlated directly with philip best wholeheartedly embracing basic-bitch college liberal politics and using consumer electronics as a vehicle to voice them, in the process reinventing the band as a slightly edgier but equally tedious sleaford mods. it might just be a coincindence but i seriously doubt it, and basic bitch collegiate politics are just about the last thing i want to hear about when i listen to noise and industrial music.

in short, women shouldn't be involved in the making of confrontational noise music.

i only commented on them because they were the ones brought up so far. you should also notice that i said "confrontational noise music", not noise music in general.
when you talk about a personality-driven genre like power electronics you really need a strong, imposing, high-stakes character spearheading a project, and women just don't seem to have what it takes.

anyway, i like junko. mayuko hino had a very limited amount of influence on the sounds of C.C.C.C but i love that band nonetheless.
i've never heard anything by hex minora. annie gosfield isn't a noise musician but i like some of ther stuff. it's been years since i last heard maria zerfall but at the time i remember thinking it was really underwhelming and played out industrial music, again with a weak personality.
i also don't think i've ever heard anything by that last person.

they shouldn't get any recognition unless they deserve it in the first place. this goes for both men and women.
i approach every record i listen to with an entirely open mind regardless of whether it was made by a man or a woman, not only willing but eager for it to present a novel perspective on the style or movement that it belongs to.
i've listened to puce mary a lot because i really wanted to respect and like what she's doing but it just didn't happen. the interviews i've read with her just confirmed my suspicions that the reason her music isn't communicating anything or revealing anything is because she just doesn't have anything to communicate or reveal.
she would probably do okay if she opted to work in a genre that didn't demand as much of an emotional investment in it for the sake of yielding solid results. she should have made ambient or drone music.

and pharmakon isn't talented. her only worthwhile contribution to noise music was on that one prurient 7" from like 10 years ago on which she did spoken word.
