If innovation is the most important thing in music and art in general, how come there are no good crunkcore artists? For the crunkcore genre to be born there had to be a musician/band that made something new and innovative that needed a specific name to be defined.
refinement beats innovation
Innovation is actually pretty low on the totem pole - the most important thing is relatability, that quality of describing something human through music in a gripping way
some people are gripped by unique, groundbreaking attitude - these people are likely to be confused about what really was universally important

the most important thing in music if it's good or not?

in other words to take something existing and make it better

What makes good music?

there's no "better"
just more relatable - sometimes looser or rough playing is preferable

anything that makes people feel
it's just about people assigning thoughts and feelings to your music
