Do you like Death Grips? Their early work was a little too sample-heavy for my tastes. But when The Money Store came out in '12, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. Anthony Fantano gave the album his first 10/10, and I think this album truly deserves it with its bitter, angry lyrics. In 2015, they released this: The Powers That B, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "I Break Mirrors with my Face in the United States", a song so good, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about breaking mirrors with one's face in the USA. It's also about Ride lashing out at a world he sees to be set up to lead him to fail.
