I have an entry level taste in most popular genres.

I have a patrician taste in a few.

I've listened to about 4 Jazz records a bunch of times. I never mention this to anybody since my taste is limited to Mingus, Coltrane, Davis... the list could go on

I do listen to some shit Anthony and P4K likes, then again I listen to some shit Anthony and P4K doesn't like. I try to dig deeper by listening to influences, similar artists, collaborators and artists on the same label.

I must admit the review scores an album gets does dictate whether I will give it a try if I haven't heard of the artist. But I will listen to things with lower scores if I like the artist or if I stumble upon something without scores I will rate it myself. I like to make my own decisions by listening to albums before they are reviewed and then validate them with reviews. A lot of the time things I like are under-rated. A lot of the time I'm on point and agree with the reviewer.

Yeah I only really listen to a couple specific scenes really in depth other than that I go full pleb (by that I mean standard /mu/ taste) and am okay with that, although I try to appreciate pleb and not pleb both esp in stuff I'm not versed in.
