You need to learn to play slow and simple stuff properly first before you play fast and complex.
Also look up some independence exercises to get your limbs working seprerately
>>
>>68381706
yea i know i typically practice with a metronome at 80-105 going up ~5bpm every 5 minutes and then going back down, or putting my click track playlist on shuffle. i 'm just bad idk i've been playing every few days or so the past 3 years.
>>
>>68381772
>i've been playing every few days or so the past 3 years.
If you aren't exaggerating, then sorry man. You're never going to be good. Pick a different hobby. Some people just can't into rhythm.
>>
>>68381797
it's worse than i make it sound.
i first got a kit 6 years ago, played almost every day for a year or so, but then the people i practiced with all sorta fucked off and i stopped playing more than once a week. i got into a band a few years ago, but that fell apart for several reasons too, and now i try to play and it's like shit and can never seem to stay in time for very long
>>
>>68381898
My advice is stop trying to do complex stuff.

Just put on your favourite songs and try to play along with them.
>>
A guy who posts good techno posted some of my tracks recently after I showed him. It was cool.

Sounds more like acid house than techno to me, but I dig it.

Explain.
>>
>>68382127

Just saw myself really influenced by lo-fi vocals, and gave it a try. Put a bunch of overdrive, delay, and reverb on them and got a damn mess. Finally, lost the project files along with my HDD and ended up with a bunch of wavs, so no changes could be made.
>>
>>68382379
If I wasn't happy with something I would rerecord it and not let the old version be out there.
>>
here's a few video's i've made for my stuff

>>
>>68382472

To be honest with you, I'm not happy about it, but neither I'm like, it's damn horrible. It's just something I made during a few days, and everything in them represents what I was going through. It sounds really uh, pretentious, but I honestly don't have much interest in that project anymore, so I don't want to give it a make-over. Currently working in etceterabanda.bandcamp.com and trying to find my own sound. I get your point though. Maybe I got carried away since a guy told me that the singing was awful once and it kind of was the first destructive criticism I've ever got.
>>
>>68382569

Personally, not a fan of the aesthetics, but I really like the sounds, especially in the second video. Maybe you'd like LAY BAC's Shriller. It's a good listen, if you're looking for inspiration or some tracks to chill.

Yeah, first time is a sting. You have to learn to take stuff like that as a sign to change things. Unless they tell you to put trap influenced beats on it.
>>
>>68382730
appreciate the feedback.
>>68382094
i like how everything is just drenched in reverb an distortion in the second track. gives everything a kind of fleeting sound, like the song is self destructing or something.
the vocals would prolly be alright without all the distortion on them.

>>68379942
keked at the picture.
Sounds nice actually..

It's from a sound engineer tutorial video that gets posted in /prod/ sometimes. Funny video.

First time making music. It's just some really weird noisy cybergrind. Not really trying to be successful with it. Just having fun and confusing my friends.

FYI: I will add vocals, at some point. Just haven't gotten around to it, yet.

I actually like how the vocals are, personally. Makes them more of an instrument and I think that's fucking killer.

I'm not so far in to it, but I love what I've heard. Rec this, definitely.

Shameful self-bump

I want to know what people honestly think and I don't care if it's positive or negative. They're short songs, so if you have a few minutes, please listen.

Thank you in advance.

Also, forgot album art.

Song I recorded a couple days ago.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oP_9Q3T0FcE

The vocals aren't quite very good, but they weren't supposed to be final. But my computer lost the project file, so all I had left was a .wav of it, so I can't change anything now

Pretty cool. I've been trying to venture into electronic but I'm not having much luck. But I am getting a handle on my synth so I guess that's good

The vocals on this project will vary from track to track. This track, I've already established lyrics for it and it's going to be high screams and low growls.

The little back n forth and then the 4 notes will have "Funny, I thought I really knew you." screamed and "I GUESS THAT I DON'T!" growled.

Honestly, this project is still half-way there as far as development and I haven't thought of much more lyrics or vocal patterns.

Kek

I'm just doing it for fun and thought I'd see what some people I don't know thought. It's not meant to be taken seriously by any standards.
>>
>>68388169
Cool, thanks. I was just using the manual, but it's so matter of fact that it left a couple things difficult to understand.

This video looks like it'll help
>>
>>68388301
If you like that video, check out parts 2 and 3 as well. Best synth class I've ever seen.
