ITT: Say something critical about a favorite music related thing of yours, could be a genre, album, song, artist, etc.
Live folk music can be horrendously boring.
soul can be very one-note especially in album form
The other seven tracks on Pygmalion (my favorite album) are great, but they don't live up to the potential hinted at with Rutti and Blue Skied an' Clear.
sings out of tune half of the time
Three hours is a really long time to invest in a full piece.

>(my favorite album)
Symphonic black metal and Neue Deutche Harte both lack in linguistic strength, despite having a sound that promises masterful balladry
most of the songs are incredibly simplisic chord progressions
I wish I could hate Pinkerton but I love it so much.
He's a pretentious asshole, but i still love his musique, even though a lot of it is really repetitive (i did a double whammy)

deadmaw five is cringe as shit, he got mad people weren't "into" his music live so he played an aviicii song ironically and when people actually liked it better than his music he threw a fit and ran off stage

Not sure what's more cringe, Deadmau5 or people that still think calling him Deadmaw five is still a clever, original or insulting joke
Industrial/EBM can be incredibly pretentious
Parts of pic. related can be laughably comical given how dark the instrumentation can be.
>"An angwee mehn!"
>The majority of Karin's vocals on "One Hit".

Most really old music traditions that belong to rather secluded cultures are actually pretty boring if you don't understand the intersubjective construction of reality that is specific to this culture through metaphors, allusions and general life experiences; much less if you don't even understand the language used.
Super rare pepe varning, just fresh off the press.

Half of the rappers famous today are shit, don't know how to spit and only got where they are through connections.

Sorry bro, but I'm not a white supremacist.

The black metal scene obsession with "lo-fi aesthetics" is more often than not pure laziness, incompetence and/or too much hubris to admit you can't afford to pay for good gear to do a good job.

The only time it really annoys me is during the last minute of I. The Sun
Out of Egypt is a pretty lackluster closing track.
Post-rock is a genre where there at any given moment there are at most some two dudes actually trying something new. All the other bands just do whatever those guys are doing and then tag their own music as "experimental"
all twee pop bands sound really similar
after green typewriters the album isnt super interesting, which is a real shame because the first part + green typewriters is a masterpiece
I still don't get why everyone praises TVU&N like it literally came out of God's ass.
