EoE is just a redoing of the last 2 episodes outside of the minds of the pilots instead of the inside. It's meant to help with understanding the end better. It's still a good watch just because it's a pretty movie.

Not necessarily, 25 and 26 provide a conclusion to the characters but the existential question at the heart of NGE is still left unanswered. Shine realizes he has to love himself in the series, but only the last scene in EOE shines light on what that means for human communication as a whole. EOE is a fucking masterpiece, too. The mise en scene, the cinematography, the symbolism... absolutely immaculate.
