wanna get into mixing, but not sure how to begin

dj since 2008

for mixtapes I use Ableton
for live i mix with CDJ 2000s or nexus

if you wanna start mixing, get a mixing software like traktor pro and a midi controller and learn the basics, then slowly start asking around local places for gigs and be consistent with your style

what i do:
>every tracks should be wardped on Complex Pro, lowest Sample Rate
>Use the EQ8, it's very versatile, and basically emulates the DJ mixer
>run 3-4 automation channels to monitor each frequency and not miss out on any detail
>put a limiter on every channel, you don't want to annoy the listener with clipping
>don't use many effects
The only effect I used on this tape is the transition between the last 2 tracks, where I added an impact kick with a noise delay
>play around with the BPM automation, keep the mix interesting
