Wow /mu/ you've done it again!
This album is so likable! i feel like so many pop groups recently use this sound.
Discuss this, also where to go next?

I think I already said this, but that album sounds like a mix between Beach House and Tokyo Police Club in the best possible way. Very comfy.

>using exclamation marks
you just sound sarcastic

Just listen to other Radio Dept stuff. They just came out with something new, I can't remember if it was just a single or two or an LP, but I liked it.
There's also plenty of smooth whiny hipster pop out there, the bands this guy said >>68288845
Bombay Bicycle Club too

you sound like an arsehole!

>whiny
I don' think Tokyo Police Club or Beach House sound whiny at all. Tokyo Police Club, for the most part is really happy and poppy, while Beach House is just super relaxed.

Bombay Bicycle Club is pretty good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBRL-y3NRZ8
Some of the songs on Clinging to a Scheme were mixed very, very poorly though. Almost to the point where they hurt to listen to. I love the songs themselves, but dear god This Time Around is actually painful. You need to really want to listen to it.

I just threw in buzz words to compare them. I meant they sound like teenagers. I'm not hating, TPC is one of my favorite bands.

What makes you say they were mixed poorly?
>>68289371
Listen to This Time Around, for example. You can hear all the instruments just fine, but the entire mix is way too sharp. Snare drums, the singer's "ss" sounds, and other forms of white noise make it really hard to listen to through earphones sometimes, even at comfortable volumes.

He was just pointing out how OP's post could be taken sarcastically due to the punctuation. You sound like an asshole for calling him an asshole.
