ITT: rate songs by Radiohead that arent very often talked about.

The Tourist: 8/10
>>
Creep: 10/10
>>
Ill Wind- 8/10
The Butcher- 8/10
These Are My Twisted Words- 8.5/10
>>
Sulk: 7/10

Would bump to a 8/10 if the lyrics remained what they were meant to be.
>>
The Daily Mail - 10/10 one of their best songs
>>
>>68278608

Sail to the moon - 9/10
>>
Worrywart - 8/10; it's comfy and underwater-ish
>>
Faust Arp: 7/10
Never seen anyone pick this as their favourite from IR. Actually, a lot of people seem to think it's the weakest on there. Perhaps it is, but it's still lovely imo.
>>
Life in a Glass House: 10/10
>>
Fog is beautiful holy shit, should have replaced Motion Picture Soundtrack tbqh
>>
Lurgee is one of the best Radiohead songs
>>
Cuttooth: 1000/10
Hunting bears: 8/10
Staircase: 7/10
Glass eyes:10/10
>>
>>68279900
I love it. It reminds me of Nick Drake a lot. It's def not the best on the album but I think it's wonderful.
>>
Trans atlantic drawl reminds me of the Butthole Surfers

I wonder why Radiohead has so many b sides that they never release in any kind of compilation
>>
Street Spirit (Fade Out) - 9/10
>>
Amazing Sounds Of Orgy- 10/10
Separator- 9/10
A Wolf At The Door- 8/10
Morning Bell (Kid A)- 7/10
Bangers and Mash- 3/10
>>
Little by Little: 9/10
>>
treefingers- 10/10
>>
Happy Song: 8/10

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFLe35sReWA
>>
In Limbo and Knives Out are the best radiohead songs, prove me wrong
>>
Knives Out: 10/10
>>
Pop is Dead: 7/10
>>
>>68278638
The Butcher - 9 imo
Possibly their most underrated track considering absolutely no one cares about it
>>
What's everybody's favorite track that is still unreleased?
>>
>>68279814
That song blows
>>
Down Is The New Up - 9.5/10

Always up for Thom on top of something hip-hopy.
>>
>>68281057
Cut A Hole definitely
>>
>>68279900
It cant be the worst because videotape exists
>>
>>68281110
Easily the worst Radiohead closing track.
>>
>>68281237
I just took it out of the album and put it in its own shame EP
>>
Fitter Happier - 10/10

How has no one said this yet
>>
Separator - 10/10
The songs build upto a wonderful yet subtle orgasm of sounds is super perfect, and when Thom sings "WAKE ME UP WILL YOU WAKE ME UP?" its like heaven.
>>
>>68281596
FTB version is absolutely amazing
>>
Where I end and you begin - 10/10

Makes Hail to the Thief just that much better than it already is.
>>
>>68281057
Wake me (Before they come)

It will probably never be released and it makes me sad
>>
>>68280511
Street Spirit is very much often talked about.
>>
>>68280472
EMI released most of them on the deluxe editions
>>
>>68280360
>Cuttooth: 1000/10
mein negro, it's like a Neu! song with piano, lyrics are great too
>>
The tourist is a great song. When I first heard OK Computer I thought it was one of the lackluster.

Anyways

You and whos army?- 9/10
>>
The Trickster 8/10
Killer Cars (acoustic versions) 7/10 Could have been better if the acoustic version was studio quality with very slightly changed lyrics.
>>
>>68281725
The intro to You and Whose Army makes me die.
>>
I am obsessed with this old acoustic version of nude

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7JR_RuZIvE
>>
Trans-Atlantic Drawl - 10/10
Fast Track - 10/10
Meeting in the Aisle - 10/10
Wicked Child - 10/10
Little by Little - 10/10
Skttrbrain (Four Tet Remix) - 10/10
Kid A - 2/10
>>
Blackstar
>>
>>68282019
What's wrong with Kid A?
>>
>>68282089
The album as a whole is fucking fantastic, but the title track is meme-level bad
>>
>>68282089
The track is okay, but only if you're listening to the entire album altogether. If you're listening to it on its own it sounds like a shite B-Side.
>>
>>68281688
i've somehow never heard this before and it's pretty sweet
>>
>>68282111
>>68282168

Yeah, I love the album, and in the context of the album I think Kid A is a pretty good track, but yeah, as a single track it's not very good.
>>
>>68279900
That whole album is lovely though. It's like having a bath in Radiohead.
>>
>>68282168
exactly this but I have that feeling about every song on Kid A, maybe with 2 or 3 exceptions.
>>
I Will 8/10
>>
One of my favorites songs by them is Scatterbrain and no one ever talks about it, or AHTTT, either.
>>
>>68282019
>>68282168
>>68282308

One of my favourites on the album. I get the b-side opinion, but imo that applies to a lot of great radiohead songs, simply because so many of them don't make any attempts to really be 'stand-out' tracks, but the quality is still so high.
i feel like it stands out more than a lot of tracks from kid a because it sounds like more of a step forward for them than many of them.

sorry if this makes no sense i'm quite high
>>
>>68282168
>the "the overtly abstract and experimental song is bad" maymay
shite opinion mate, it's the only song on Kid A that isn't derivative Warp worship
>>
>>68282399
high dubs speak the truth
>>
Knives out 10/10
>>
>>68282391
I will is fantastic. Both versions. Some dude had a youtube video where both versions faded into one another and it sounded great. Think it's gone now though sadly.
>>
Supercollider 9/10
>>
>>68281061
blow ME haha

>>68279737
100% agreed
>>
Separator is a tooooon m8
>>
Fix You 6/10
>>
>>68283296
yaaaaass
>>
>>68282168
Beat on Kid A is dope
7.5
>>
Codex
>>
Creep 9/10
>>
>>68281057
Lift for sure
>>
>>68281698
Name me five of Street Spirit's albums then.
>>
Staircase was the best song from TKOL sessions, it had more potential if they had finished it something like Reckoner or The Present Tense the way it originally sounded in acoustic form (Lotus Flower too for that matter.)

But it's still like a solid 9/10 song.
>>
>>68282442
HTDC? Optimistic? In Limbo?
>>
Like Spinning Plates - 10/10
Honestly sounds fucking evil and the three song closer of Hunting Bears' frigid melancholy atmosphere and this one's horrifying climax of reversed synths and percussive noises and Thom's distorted wailing and the dramatic strings right before the gentle comedown of LIAGH is unfuckingreal

>>68280304
>should have replaced Motion Picture Soundtrack tbqh
Like fuck it should have
Definitely could have replaced Morning Bell/Amnesiac though
>>
I loved Lemmy's Show
>>
>>68279196
And what were they meant to be?
>>
Kinectic: 8/10
Why the hell is this one so obscure
>>
>>68283719
Uh I looked, and they only appear on ONE album. Slovak Underground Punx Attack! Volume 2, Nice try though.
>>
>>68281268
That song is top 3 from all their discog. lol
Give a try to the early live version or from the basement
>>
>>68283839
>Why the hell is this one so obscure
Literally multiple times every Radiohead thread someone brings up the Amnesiac B-sides and asks why so few people know about them.
>>
>>68278608
Faust Arp: 10/10
>>
>>68283867
sorry, never did it
>>
>>68283848
Oh yeah? Name me two films they appear in.
>>
>>68283809
Fun fact, Cuttooth was originally on the tracklist for Amnesiac and was even promo'd/played in full with it in place of Hunting Bears on BBC Radio the day before it released in stores.

A lot of Radiohead fans were confused as shit when they went the next day and got the album and it was gone.

A lot of people don't know that Hunting Bears is also a Brian Eno cover either.
>>
>>68281057
Big Boots
>>
>>68283889
Romeo and Juliet 1996, and Street Spirit 2013 nigga.
>>
>>68283889
Street Spirit appears on Mad Max: Fury Road
>>
Paperbag Writer 9/10
>>
>>68283906
Huh. Interesting. Did they say anything about why?

I like both but I definitely think Hunting Bears is perfect where it is. Maybe if Cuttooth came right before it or something. But I think the way it echoes I Might Be Wrong and the sparseness of it is a great buildup for LSP and LIAGH.
>>
>>68283971
Weird that Thom played it with Atom's for Peace lol

It's also kinda weird in hindsight that AFP technically covered UNKLE every night of the tour for Amok
>>
>>68283906
Cuttooth doesn't sound like it would fit at all on amnesiac tbqh.
>>
Electioneering 9/10 definitely not the worst song on OKC taking out fitter happier
>>
>>68283938
>>68283963
Ok you think you're fans? Name me THREE of Street Spirit's other projects.
>>
>>68283982
Same, I love Hunting Bears and I think it's perfectly placed in the tracklist, like Treefingers is on Kid A.

I can't remember why though, I think it was that they had decided on that earlier to the label and changed their mind late in the process to replace Cuttooth with Hunting Bears, and the promo CD that EMI sent to BBC was still going off the old tracklist.

Could have definitely replaced MB/A for sure though
>>
>>68284038
Uh, Spy Hunter the video game with Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson. The film Ghost of Mars by John Carpenter and Jack Link's Beef Jerky Original Flavor.
>>
>>68284013
Idk, I think it fits the general vibe pretty well. I think towards the end of the album it works pretty well, seeing as there aren't really any other "big" sounding Radioheadesque songs on the album other than Pyramid Song.

It might have changed the overall feel of the album a little but I don't think in a bad or jarring way
>>
>>68278608
winger 2/10
>>
>>68278608
this is for them 1.5/10
>>
>>68284090
oh ok i guess you are right
>>
>>68284429
Damn straight.
>>
Bloom 7.5/10
Sail to the moon - 8/10
Street Spirit - 9/10
Subterranean Homesick Alien - 10/10
>>
>>68278612
This.
>>
>>68278608
Creep - 10/10
>>
Hot Head - 9/10
Hacker - 10/10
I've Seen Footage - 8/10
>>
>>68278608
Gagging Order - 8.5/10
Pearly - 9.5/10
Lift - 7/10
Worrywort - 9/10
Where I End And You Begin - 10/10
Scatterbrain - 9/10
Bones - 8/10
Wolf at the Door - 10/10
>>
>>68282019
>Trans-Atlantic Drawl - 10/10
>Fast Track - 10/10
these

We Suck Young Blood - 9/10
Down Is the New Up - 10/10
>>
Polyethlene 9/10, should´ve been the opening track on OK Computer
>>
worry wort - 10/10
pulk pull revolving doors - 10/10
>>
>>68278608
you must be kidding, that song's 10/10 and the best song off OKC

paranoid android 3/10 btw
>>
I might be wrong 8/10
>>
>>68280944
>Amazing Sounds Of Orgy- 10/10
wow, came here to say that. this track is incredible, I wonder why it didn't end up on the album... maybe one of the samples couldn't clear or something. its literally one of the best things to come out of the kida/amnesiac era
>>
Morning Bell/Amnesiac - 10/10
Sit down. Stand up - 9/10
>>
Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors - 8/10
I never understood why people don't like it more, it's the most out there track from the Kid A/Amnesiac era and has a great eerie atmosphere.

>>68280360
I WON'T LEAD A WALLPAPER LIFE I'LL RUN AWAY AND JOIN THE FOREIGN LEGIOOOOOOON

Shit I must hear it now, it's their best kraut impression.
>>
>>68282059
8.5
One of my favourites from that album
>>
>>68287485

look everyone. this one thinks he has an opinion.
>>
Not obscure but I just want to point out that Motion Picture Soundtrack is legitamately one of the best songs of all time, one of my only genuine 10/10s

I don't even like Radiohead that much but holy shit that song
>>
>>68284487
