Do you listen to music while studying or doing homework?

Used to listen to pic related a lot while doing math problems and other mechanical stuff. Spiritualized worked well too.

Is anybody else distracted by vocals?

Depends what kind of homework. For math and programming usually have some more minimalist techno type stuff on like Plastikman but if I'm reading or really need to analyze something usually having music on becomes a hindrance

Genre-wise, I listen to pretty much whatever I feel like, but I only really listen to albums that I'm familiar with.

Most of the time listening to music while working breaks my concentration, but Ratatat (pic related for exemple) is great for studying
