Ayy, I'm going tripping on LSD tomorrow for the second time, first time in nature. I need some essential tripping music for a playlist.
Obviously Tame Impala, Animal Collective, The Beatles etc.
What are you fave songs to trip to? :)
>being a pleb AND taking drugs
This kind of smells like a troll thread but whatever.
my personal favorite acid record:
this is a bad idea.
it seems like a great idea when the angelic harmonies first start up, but by the time the chorus of Heroes and Villains hits, it's way too dark.
Let them things blarr and have fun!
Well, what I do is give it a quick preview to make sure it's not dark/agressive, listening to maybe 10sec of each track on the album. Putting on random shit that turns out to have terrible vibes would be no fun.
Do what I recommend here: >>53302253 or listen to unknown stuff from an artist you know makes goodvibes stuff. For example last trip I had waited to listen to Computer Controlled Acoustic Instruments pt2 until then, so even though I hadn't heard any of it I knew aphex twin put out good trip music, so I gave it a first time listen tripping and had an amazing time
But for high doses you really should only listen to stuff you're familiar with and is super comfy. Like Hosianna Mantra, Thursday Afternoon, or 76:14 are all great choices.
as I've said, its a stupid idea, one wrong evil sounding verse or weird scene in a music video will throw you in a bad trip, do what you want but don't be surprised when you get burned
not trip music per se but
ABBA on LSD is the shit.
Multiple vocal layers, extensive arrangements, simple but mind-fucking songs, elaborated harmonies, etc
take my word, you'll trip balls
Tales of the Inexpressible is better
but pic related is best
These are some songs that I really enjoyed tripping on acid:
Vibrasphere - Ensueno (Morning Mix)
Candy Claws - New Forest (Five Heads of the Sun)
Flying Lotus - Clock Catcher
Igorrr - Vegetable Soup
The Beatles: 'Sun King' until 'The End' on Abbey road (well the whole album to be honest)
MGMT - It's Working
Flaming Lips - Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell
But you should listen to music that you enjoy.
I don't really agree.
Or that isn't how it was for me.
I watched the darkest scariest shit and was fine.
Then I was watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica (pic related) and got kind of overwhelmed and had to stop.
I already rec'd you pic related, I listened to it at the beach and it was one of the best experience I've had on drugs.
I felt so full of energy, I was jumping and running around completely free (it helped that the beach was pretty much empty).
Seriously fucking tame impala? What's it like being 13 years old and taking drugs?
You don't deserve this but here you go
Oh no, i acknowledge that I'm the worst kind of person. I was the kid taking 14 cough medicie pills on the way to school my freshman year. most of my drug activity was when i was 14-18, now i just smoke alot of weed and do blow occasionally
Only plebs listen to recorded music when they're tripping. Last time I was out of my mind on shrooms I was jamming out to the kitchen faucet I left on and than ran out into the woods to listen to the natural world alive around me.
Come on man.
People who spend their whole acid trip listening to music just boggle my mind.
Go exploring. Have an adventure. Listen to an album or two when you get back. You'll probably still be tripping.
I know right? My favorite thing to do every time on shrooms or lsd is take a hike through the woods or on the coast somewhere nice and isolated where there's always something new and interesting to see, somewhere you can just get lost.
Hi OP, my recommendation is that you not make a playlist, and just choose an album you like already when you're at the start of your trip. Planning your music out ahead of time makes it feel less special. You'll be surprised. It's not just psychedelic music that sounds good while tripping. I listened to In a Silent Way while on 4 tabs and loved it.
Nah, Dad, I think it's because you dropped out of high school, refused to grow up and blame everyone else for your problems that ruined your life.

This is the ultimate, OP
>Tame Impala, Animal Collective, The Beatles etc
Don't be a fag, listen to Embryonic or Cauldron.
Save AnCo for candy flipping. But if you have to listen to them go with feels over anything else.
From my own trips, the musical essentials would be:
1.) The Books- The Way Out (seriously an adventure of a listen with beautifully haunting moments as well)
2.) Animal Collective- STGSTV (I felt like a child exploring the world while listening to this. The melodies and percussion are GOAT)
3.) The Flaming Lips- The Soft Bulletin ( personally i think this is better for shrooms buuut the lyrics hit really hard if you're looking for some life changing shit)
Be safe, learn, and Have fun!
The Strokes, specially their first album, is quintessential feel-good trip music.
Second time I took acid me and my friends played Is This It and danced all Grease-like to 'Last Nite'. One of the happiest memories i hold.
