This episode makes no sense. Rarity spends most of the episode trying to deal with her mane and pretending it's not so bad. She's optimistic. She's constantly saying, "it's not so bad, right?" and she doesn't just lock herself away. She's trying to make the best of it. It's her friends that keep freaking out and telling her they hate it and it looks awful. After that, Rarity finally does start sulking and getting upset, all thanks to her friends. Then they tell her she was the one in the wrong.

What? What a confused episode.
