what part keeps you optimistic? back 5 years ago if someone said a full feature mlp movie I'd be jumping for joy, but after these trailers I just can't.

I haven't read the book because I don't want spoilers. I'm a little sad that Celestia and the others get worfed again, and apparently Storm King isn't as cool as we thought he'd be, but I haven't seen anything that would make me think it won't be, at least, decent. Ghetto Capper took me by surprise, but who knows, maybe it'll work out. This board is very negative when it comes to any future media, I have no doubt that even if the movie was perfect, we'd still have people who can't get hype.

Plus, I mean, it's an MLP movie with updated animation. Call me a pleb, but it blows me away every time I see it. Except for that fucking airship, I hope someone fixes that blunder.
At the very least, I want to see how it actually is before declaring it shit.

I'm excited for the film. Even if the story doesn't turn out that fantastic at least the art design and animation look good. From what I recall, this is the biggest theatrical 2D movie since Disney's "The Princess and the Frog" (2009). Since the MLP Movie is a 2D film, I'd really like to see it succeed since I'd like to see more 2D animated features again.

If you're not interested in the MLP Movie, fine, just ignore it. Stop the shitposting and let others enjoy themselves.

Confident it will be good. I'm not expecting to be blown away but Tempest, mane6 and the animation alone is enough to satisfy me.

Like a two-parter with a higher budget, even if it's bad by two-parter standards I know I'll have a good enough time with it.
