CMC are tired of being treated as kids, so they have Sweetie cast a spell that ages them up to adults. Hijinks ensue. Moral is that it's better to live in the moment of one's childhood rather than pine for adulthood, because adulthood sucks.

I think a really cool idea is if for a season finale, there's some sort of cataclysmic event foretold by the Map which requires the Mane 6 + maybe Spike and Starlight to split up and travel the corners of Equestria to prevent it from happening.

They could split up into groups of 2 or 3 and each time we focus on a group, it will show them traveling and giving more info about the world of Equestria.

Eventually, said event occurs anyway and we find out that the Map actually caused the event and planned to split the ponies up. They find out that it became corrupted after Starlight used it to time travel and slowly the corrupted magic overtook it. The girls realize it would have been better to stick together, they come together, and through rainbow magical blah they save the day. Then we get a lesson and a song about sticking together when you have problems. The Map disappears forever, the girls say they loved traveling Equestria and wish they could have gone together, and that starts off a new season of the ponies just wandering through Equestria.

The real Twilight Sparkle comes back.

An episode where Apple Bloom challenges a tradition held by the apple family farm and apple bloom is ultimately placed in the right.

This episode could be amazing if it plays on apple blooms fears of being abandoned by her family and her quick to panic nature and despite these problems, still contests the tradition because she views it as detrimental to the family.

A revisit to the cloning pond after Pinkie Pie goes missing. It turns out that Twilight destroyed the real Pinkie back when that episode airs and the clones only last a few years, hence the current Pinkie Pie is gone, Pinkie is gone forever in fact.
