That being said, Sunset is a better character than Starlight, her origin was stronger and her redemption was more believable since it had more effort put into it, Starlight is absolutely nothing more than a quick realization of how popular Sunset Shimmer had become and an attempt to imitate it within the show, they even changed her hair to look just like her.
