Honestly I only thought it was plausible because they reference the upcoming CMC day camp episode in episode 14. Not to mention you have the Legends appearing in at least 3 separate episodes building up to something for the finale. Then you've got episode 15 referencing today's episode. The season hasn't shied away from building on previous episodes.

Dash is probably going to be an idiot and Pinkie will be the one to fix/solve everything, like in Lost treasure of griffonstone.

We know that that Egyption looking pony will make an appearance this season as one of the legends of magic, and that she will be pinkie's analogue, since Meadowbrook is going to be Fluttershys. And this episode looks like the only opportunity for Somnambula to be used in a pinkie episode.


So most likely, to draw up parallells between the two, pinkie will be the lead character of the episode.
