Can someone please explain to me how there can be a dawn or dusk in Equestria when Celestia and Luna raise the sun and moon.
Same way it works here, you just keep the sun lingering around the horizon a little bit, and bam, dawn/dusk.
It's literally just physics, why wouldn't they make a light show if they can?
I can not.

Easy.
Celestia and Luna don't spend the whole day moving the sun and moon around the planet. They simply set them into motion. They stop on the horizon, creating dawn and dusk, and that's when the princesses know when to get them moving again.
That's why in the season 4 premier, both the sun and moon were stuck on the horizon but not moving. The moon had completed its night and was ready to go over the horizon, and the sun had finished its own path and was ready to rise, but neither princess was there to move them.I wonder if we'll see that again in the movie, with the sun and moon stuck on the horizon, keeping the world stuck in a state of twilight. That would be neat.

Maybe there isn't dawn or dusk every day. Maybe that's a thing the princesses do manually sometimes.
