I appreciate the visual comedy but this seems a little counter-productive. Also couldn't Unicorns just drive themselves around by applying rotational force to the wheels?

>drive themselves around by applying rotational force to the wheels?
Well sure, they could also drive themselves around by running but people are lazy.
>>30841257
that would mudponies out of jobs though.
>>30841257
Some could also teleport, like Twily. This lazy, narcissistic bitch.

Unicorn telekinesis has its limits. Not that many unicorns have the talent to master advanced spells either.
Draft ponies are probably just the more convenient solution. It's like paying someone to row a boat for you.

They'd might as well walk if they're going to put in effort anyways

No no, telekinesis is the one attribute that all Unicorns have in common. You don't need to be a magical prodigy to lift things with magic, though I'm sure you get better at doing it over time.
Twilight is definitely better at magicking things around, (I doubt anyone else could lift a giant container of milk like in Boast Busters,) but we've seen Rarity lift a ton of stuff at once, too. And it generally doesn't appear to even tire them out.
I can't remember a Unicorn looking physically tired from listing things with magic, other than the previous Boast Busters example. But the fact that Twilight could even LIFT that at ALL implies that this ability barely requires effort from them normally.
The point I'm trying to make is that if they can lift many objects at once whose combined mass they certainly wouldn't be able to lift with their physical body, then making a cart go around should be easy for them.

To unicorns using magic is like us doing kegals. It doesn't look like we're exercising any muscles but we are. But in a unicorns case it can be way more exhausting.

Now I'm imagining them Flintstoning around in thier pony carts.
>>30841257
It's against union rules. Professional cart, taxi and coach pulling is for licensed Earth ponies (or Pegasi, if you're traveling/shipping by air) only.
You don't want to cross the Equestrian Teamsters Union, trust me.

My heart
Ahem.

You can run, why don't you run everywhere?
