Did the Harry Potter fandom die out when the books/movies were finished?

Did the entire Pokemon franchise cease to exist because a spinoff game lost a few million players?

There's the door; you are free to leave at any time.

shh, OP, relax.
It's the internet, let them be consumed by their pointless drama and anger and just enjoy pone.
>>

>>30838705
Yes, we all know about Cursed Child, but for 6-10 years, the series was finished.

And the point of Pokemon was to not make a big deal when people leave.
>>
>>30838670
What Pokemon spin-off are you talking about?

Bruce Willis was a ghost all along

>The harry potter fandom wasn't declining after the films had wrapped up.
"No!"
The only thing that really slowed it down was the fact that there was no reboot that would have driven away everyone, the politicisation (egged on by the author) didn't help either, and Lauren isn't going to make tweets saying "this is just like when discord launched missiles against Syria".

Even if G5 isn't bad, it won't have the circumstances that caused FIM to become huge.

And fuck you for thinking that the board numbers declining isa good thing.I hope you get raped into a coma.

>>
>>30838820
I feel like even Hasbro should be able to understand at least a modicum of what made this series popular, if when they make G5 I have a feeling it'll still be decent, maybe G4 levels maybe not, but I doubt they'll go back to their old style after this generation's success

Didn't it?

Some of the factors where circumstancial across the industry though, the end of the 2000s animation was vastly different from today, so that would likely impact a reboot.

It's also perfectly possible for them to return to something like G3, they might assume that the fandom en mass will eat up anything-a hypothesis certainly not proven wrong-like how they assumed that about that with the Bayformers films and were mostly right.

Of course, they could take the route of replacing tiny things one at a time to seemlessly transition without people noticing. They've already changedruined the logo.

My sister is into Harry Potter as much as I am into ponies. And from her, the fandom is still very much alive. There's the theme parks and the play, but that's as far as I can remember of recent Harry Potter news.

Can you ask her more details? I would love to know.

Scruffy.
This place used to be edgy and continuously produce interesting content; then a mixture of poor-moderation and SJWs stifled content production.

You can't deny that that kind of content positively contributed to the community. Trying to cull it just pissed people off.
These days, the catalog is mostly just fetish general, half-hearted CYOAs and shitposting...

I bet you don't even watch the show anymore. We don't need you. We don't want you. This fandom never was more alive than it's now.
>>
>>30839937
haha you're so fucking delusional mate.
>>
There is a difference between a fandom dying out, and retiring. When the last Harry Potter movie was finally out, the buzz of the fandom quieted because there was nothing on the horizon and nothing much to discuss. But the fans are still there today. They retired, they didn't die off. They can come out of retirement if the time comes.

I'm gonna cover my ears and close my eyes and scream WE'RE ALIVE, ALIVE and you can't stop me. U mad DYEWTS?

Alright, so this is coming from a muggle born that would read the books the day they came out and read them at the book store in costume. Went to the midnight premieres of the movies, and is just into it man. My sister states that:

-The Harry Potter fandom is still very much alive, excited even.
-If you want the latest Harry Potter shit, you got to Mugglenet.com or Hypable.com
-There is a gathering call 'A day at the park ' on September 1st at the Wizarding world theme park at Universal
-Fantastic Beasts is part of the Harry Potter universe
-They are making picture books of the Harry Potter series
-The actors of the movie are doing other things, you can always support them.
-The conventions are out there

So this is pretty much the be all and end all post for this thread, the Harry Potter fandom is still kicking and pokemon is a household name at this point. Pokemon is everywhere, it has achieved total recognition.
My sister is now an expert on butter beer and is telling me how Disney is trying to have their answer to butter beer. Now that I have given a good answer imo, let this thread die and get back to ponies
>>
>>30840802
I remember getting butter beer when they first opened at Universal. It's good shit, I can't blame didney for trying to swipe it.
>>
To the people trying to counter the Harry Potter bit by saying it's not dying because more content is still coming out... Maybe, but frankly, I don't think it's ever even slowed down.
Harry Potter is like Star Trek and Star Wars, they're all going to be the white dwarves of fandoms, smoldering long after all other fandoms of their times have died out.
MLP isn't on that level, though, it's lasted a long time, and probably still has some time left, but it'll die before the fandom monoliths.
It burned bright, but you know what they say about candles...

>Took the train from London to Edinburgh
>Massive queues outside platform 9 3/4, shitloads of them in costume
>Rode the Hogwarts express when I went to Scotland
>shitloads of scenery and beautiful views, but they were also selling chocolate frogs and bertie bott's every flavour beans and a hot chocolate with pop rocks in it called Butter hot chocolate or something

Despite the fact you are clearly a massive degenerate, I'm going to have to agree

What's wrong with you faggots? I'm still having fun.
Why are you all even here if you think the place I'd "dying"?
