ITT: Rate each episode of the show. Then average out the ratings across seasons and characters.
I don't get how people can complain that the show is worse than it was in the earlier season. The earlier seasons really just had an abundance of mediocre episodes that would be considered pretty bad if released today. Later seasons started moving away from the "we have to talk down to our primary audience" attitude and it paid off significantly. Outright bad characterizations in earlier seasons (Spike, Fluttershy, CMC) were drastically improved in later seasons and new characters like Glimmer and Discord were both a boon to the quality of the show. I think people just look back at season one with rose tinted glasses, not realizing that the earlier seasons were really mediocre or only remember the handful of good episodes from those seasons.

The writing absolutely kills it, it felt more like a bad modern spongebob episode than something from MLP. I could even see spongebob doing an ending like that where the victims are blamed because the perpetrators didn't listen to them.

Ponyville Confidential is just a pain to watch with the entire town shitting on the CMC as if they just committed murder.
Too Many Pinkie Pies is decent until the third act when they turn Twilight into an idiot and solves the issue in the most asinine, twisted, and ass backwards way possible.

They did atleast do something wrong in that episode, granted, the town is full of hypocrites, but they werent innocent either. Its not like Carts Before the Ponies where the CMC are shat on for doing nothing wrong at all.

Currently I only have S6 and S7 rated on a scale 0-10. Of S5 I have a color system. Maybe if I check the old threads I can find my original figures (are these archived somewhere?), if not I'll re-rate them whenever I do a rewatch.
As it stands, S6 has an average score of 7.4/10 and S7 scores 7.1/10. Not really statistically interesting but I thought I might put the numbers out here anyway.

This meme needs to stop. Clones weren't sentient beings, they were blank templates from the lake, taking the form of whoever entered it. They didn't even fucking die, they just got sent back into the lake, and that's not even a headcanon, that's what's right in the episode.

Who are you to say they weren't sentient, that they had no will to live? They wanted to live, or at least didn't want to be sent back into the abyss or womb of the lake, else they wouldn't have tried to win the paint-staring contest.
They were sentient beings with a passion for life and Twilight killed them (or returned them to the void of their womb).

Personally I'm inclined to agree they actually were zombies. Twilight was still retarded to just kill them off like that, she could easily have killed the original Pinkie. Just because it has a survival mechanism doesn't mean it was sentient.
