How would you rank the episodes of this season so far, from best to worst?
>>30777139
1. Fame & Misfortune (great)
2. The Perfect Pear (great)
3. Discordant Harmony (great)
4. Parental Glideance (good)
5. Hard To Say Anything (good)
6. A Royal Problem (good)
7. Celestial Advice (good)
8. Forever Filly (good)
9. Rock Solid Friendship (okay)
10. A Flurry of Emotions (okay)
11. All Bottled Up (okay)
12. Not Asking For Trouble (mediocre)
13. Honest Apple (mediocre)
14. Fluttershy Leans In (bad)
15. Triple Threat (bad)
All shit, like all episodes after season 1.
The Perfect Pear
Parental Glideance
A Royal Problem
...
Fluttershy Leans In
I'd have to rewatch the rest to rank them. The middle is kind of muddy.
>watching the show
1. The Perfect Pear
2. A Royal Problem
3. Parental Glideance
4. Celestial Advice
5. Discordant Harmony
6. All Bottled Up
7. Fame and Misfortune
8. Forever Filly
9. Not Asking For Trouble
10. Honest Apple
11. Triple Threat
12. A Flurry of Emotions
13. Fluttershy Leans In
14. Rock Solid Friendship
15. Hard to Say Anything
>>30777139
Sorting them all would be difficult, but Forever Filly, Fluttershy Leans In, Celestial Advice, aFoE - and, to an extent, also Rock Solid Friendship, Hard To Say Anything, and Not Asking For Trouble - were all quite forgettable to me.
That leaves us with ABU, Glideance, A Royal Problem, Discordant Harmony, Perfect Pear, and Fame and Misfortune. Those were more interesting.
I'm not listing Triple Threat, as I feel it's too fresh in my memory to place in either of the two bins.
I completely forgot about Honest Apple when trying to recall each episode, which I guess would make it the worst in my ranking.
>>30777139
From best to worst. These first five are the cream of the crop, real gems that do the series justice. If someone walked in while I was watching, I would gladly pull my dick out, turn the volume up, and tell them to fuck off. All these episodes are either A or B tier.
> The Perfect Pear
> Hard to Say Anything
> Not Asking for Trouble
> Parental Glideance
> Forever Filly
From this point on episode quality takes a sharp dip in quality, most of these episodes had their moments but also serious underlying flaws, though not serious enough to stop me from enjoying them. If someone walked in while I was watching, I'd quickly flip the channel, then flip back after they left. I'd call these the B to C tier episodes.
>Celestial Advice
>Honest Apple
>Rock Solid Friendship
>Fluttershy Leans In
>Discordant Harmony
>A Royal Problem
From here on out its pure shit. A chuckle here or cameo there doesn't save these episodes from the trash heap. It's abortions like these that make me wanna just watch something else. C to F tier.
>Triple Threat

As much as I hate to agree with Glimfag, I can't see how Fame and Misfortune is horse shit without taking offense to the premise.

This tbqh, only new episodes I've seen are the trixie ones and the new discord episode which was great.

>>Liking writers wasting potentially interesting plots to cry at the fandom over criticism
But anon, it wasn't simply a cry, it helped make for an interesting meta point
>>30777483
Personally I was really looking forward to the episode, the premise sounded really cute and funny which is when the best stuff happens in the show. What we got instead was thirty minutes of meta bullshit, various shadow factions (jim miller) bitching about the fandom, a song that just felt weirdly out of place and forced ("Cause isn't it silly how they're always singing LOL!!!"), plenty of glimshit, and of course as the cherry on top of this shit sundae the moral of the story was, "It's for little girls anyway, SO STOP YELLING AT US!!!" Objectively you're probably right in that there were worse episodes, but for me personally it was the worst so far. Maybe it's just because I had built it up so much in my mind beforehand that it just ended up especially disappointing.

Honest Apple
Season 7 is pretty good. Nothing has utterly dropped the ball yet like Applejacks Day Off or something like that
>>30777641
Look you dense motherfucker, the moral of Fame and Misfortune is "Judge a moral tale by the moral it imparts and the tale it tells, not extraneous bullshit that only a turbo autist cares about" and "If you screech autisticly like a retard at someone for making an entirely subjective choice then screech at them for doing the opposite their going to think your an implacable screeching autist".
And how are you proving them wrong? By going on the internet and screeching autsticly. Great Job you doublefaggot.
>>30777220
Cry some more faggot.
>>30777589
You know, maybe more anons would spam that image if you used a more shared opinion
Most of the ones that hate the show now either think that it became shit starting with S2, 3 or 6
For the most part S5 is considered either the last good or not the first bad one
You're literally spamming an unpopular opinion, and that's why everytime I see those graphs I know it's always you, the same anon desperately trying to have it spammed by someone else.
>>30777641
>and of course as the cherry on top of this shit sundae the moral of the story was, "It's for little girls anyway, SO STOP YELLING AT US!!!"
Uh, no it wasn't? It's your interpretation because you got triggered by something you didn't think about for more than 5 seconds and instantly started calling it shit.
The morals were
1) characters are not defined by their respective elements only (works in the narrow context of the show)
2) canon shouldn't necessarily make all of your headcanons come true (works in a broader context of any show)
3) there's no point in trying to pander to specific groups of people because you cannot please everybody anyway (works in a very broad context)
>>30777589

This thread PROVES once again that only """people""" with brain damage hate Glimmy
The Perfect Pear (10/10)
A Royal Problem (9/10)
Rock Solid Friendship (8.5/10)
Celestial Advice (7.5/10)
Parental Glideance (7.5/10)
Flurry of Emotions (7/10)
Hard To Say Anything (7/10)
All Bottled Up (7/10)
Forever Filly (7/10)
Triple Threat (7/10)
Discordant Harmony (7/10)
Not Asking for Trouble (6.5/10)
Fluttershy Leans In (5.5/10)
Honest Apple (5/10)
Fame and Misfortune (complete garbage)
I'm pretty happy with all the 7/10s this season. It seems like Joanna and Kristine are actually editing each episode to the point where almost every one has been passable and worth watching. Season 6 felt like every episode was entirely dependent on the writer. Now it feels like if we have a good premise, we can rest easy knowing it'll be at least worth watching once.
>>30777741
>The readers argue over which pony is best
>They create memes and headcanons like Rarity is a whore and Pinkie is autistic
>They hound the writers relentlessly with unwanted commentary and unfair criticism
>In the end the readers are told they shouldn't care about the mistakes the writers make, it should be about love and tolerance
>The readers are too stupid and unreasonable to get this
>But it doesn't matter because two little fillies got the message
Just recalling that horrible episode made me throw up a little, how anyone can believe this is a quality episode is beyond me.

>>30777902
>>In the end the readers are told they shouldn't care about the mistakes the writers make, it should be about love and tolerance
Um, no. You once again prove that you haven't thought about it for more than 5 seconds. Probably that's why how anyone can have a different opinion is beyond you.

Episodes that are great with very few faults:
1. The Perfect Pear
2. A Royal Problem
3. Celestial Advice
4. Parental Glideance
5. Triple Threat
Episodes that needed more development, focused on weird things, or simply didn't interest me (this is a subjective list)
6. Not Asking For Trouble
7. Flurry of Emotions
8. Rock Solid Friendship
9. All Bottled Up
Episodes that quite frankly did what they wanted to do very poorly/had very little to them/had an idea that was completely bungled in some manner:
10. Forever Filly
11. Fluttershy Leans In
12. Fame and Misfortune
13. Hard to Say Anything

You're using a form of the "IT'S OBVIOUS" fallacy, trying to erase the need for argument by suggesting your point is common knowledge. In your particular case, by posing your subjective interpretation as if it were an objective fact. But 1) works of fiction cannot be judged objectively save for purely technical stuff 2) nothing is ever obvious in polemics, otherwise there'd be no point in polemics to begin with.
