the real question is, why wouldn't you want to be a dragon instead? it is literally the best choice, it lets you blend in, keep all the great stuff about being a human (i.e. opposable thumbs, bipedal master race) plus upgrades (breathing fire, super strength, nigh impervious scales, and flight) bipedal dragons are literally just Humanity 4.0, plus you'd be just as exotic as dragons since they're always holed up in there shithole homeland, and you can strut around Equestria no seat so long as you're not a dick
