>Twilight would've been more interesting if she stayed in Canterlot
Why did they choose this particular thesis? Who the hell actually complains about that?

It's those guys who parody the "show was better in the beginning" mantra by exagerating saying the first 20 seconds of the first episode are the only quality material of the whole franchise.

random shit

>>30712333
the joke is supposed to have some meaning
>>30712342
so are threads.
It's over exaggerating the idea that Twilight was a more likable character when she was sarcastic and nerdy like in season 1.
>>30712367
She's in ponyville for 99% of season 1
>>30712383
That's why it makes no sense.

I didn't get the "family of Applejack" joke either. Im pretty sure there are no such fans at convention that want to be part of her family
This episode was like they've tried to take a jab at fandom but they didn't quite understand it.

I was disappointed there wasn't a single joke about Applejack learning nothing, although I guess that was a letter to Celestia and might not have been in the journal.
I don't think the ponies would have a legitimate reason to think of Applejack as a "background pony" based on the journal, and the only other real option would be having them complain that all her lessons are about family which is a weird thing for a pony in this world to complain about.

>>30712249
It's because they're too incompetent to even parody the fandom.
>>30712264
that's not an exaggeration, that's the truth
