It's not opinion, it's based on fact. Redemption is NOT a fundamental facet of friendship. Friends do forgive each other, yes, but you can have friendship without wounding each other and moving past it.

Take away any of the other traits and it simply doesn't work. You can't have friendship without Laughter, or Loyalty, or Kindness, or Honesty, or Generosity. Magic is debatable but it's tied into the context of the show and I think it represents the transcendental nature of a positive relationship like friendship.

But "redemption"? Or "forgiveness" as the VAs put it at comic con? That strays far from friendship and into the realm of relationships in general. In conclusion it's not an opinion, knock off that postmodernist bullcrap.

Because many different people evaluate different things when they consider someone a friend, of those you listed I think loyalty would be the thing most people would agree with is important, but even then, you can FORGIVE someone who breaks that. Additionally, I personally consider empathy(Sunset's element) a much more important trait than the others.
