The princesses were rather well done. Glimmer is just there to be convenient to the plot. I like her flawed and cynical personality, it's just that most of her S7 episodes seem to go: Starlight does something with magic without thinking it through and at the end of the episode learns not to use magic without thinking.

imo I think the don't fuck up with magic episodes really compliment starlight in her appearance in A Royal Problem, where she uses her magic in a way that the sisters can walk a day in each others shoes to fix the friendship problem compared to before where the way she used magic nearly damaged her friendships.

Do you even remember the part after twilight got back? Also this is the episode where glimmer gets her fear of fucking up her friendships with magic, explaining why she's on the verge of a mental breakdown in A Royal Problem near the end when she thinks she might of fucked up with magic again, and on her first map call no less, even though this time she used her magic to help others understand each other, a complete reverse of what she did in ELTSD, showing consistentsy with her character and growth as her character, hense number 5.
