I reckon Hasbro are gonna try and morph the show into as something as gender neutral as possible.
Also, you guys are forgetting about the film, and the wave of interest it's gonna bring.
If its good, then we will probably see another peak in our wild ride. Its still doing really fucking well as a show. It's just it's been doing REALLY well over the last few years.

I really wish though that EQG would hurry up and tank already.

I find it far more likely that S8 is simply oging to conclude Friendship Is Magic, and that the show going forward will be rebranded as My Little Pony: Guardians of Harmony, with a more adventure-oriented plot in an attempt for a more gender-neutral appeal following the movie.
