He probably made more money from a bit part in a crappy movie than most of us will make in an entire year. What's more, the guy had so few lines that he probably was able to record them in a single afternoon from his own home.

You know fuck it. I watch shitloads of movies, got a cheapo cinema around the corner and too much spare time, and I STILL have no idea how you're "supposed" to act when watching movies. I've had people tell me I'm too talkative, I've had people tell me I'm too silent, or vice versa I've had people be too talkative for my taste, and, like, not to say I've seen people be "too silent" but I know that awkward feeling when they feel the need to be exchanging words here and there because they can't handle long spurts of silence so when they don't speak you know really they want to and it's just awkward.

It's really hard. And maybe I am a turboautist but just everyone has a different idea of what cinema etiquette looks like. Some people want to comment everything, and want you to comment everything, some people want dead silence and want you to be dead silent. I think it also really depends on the movie, when it's a shitty comedy and you don't even understand half of the dialogue because the entire audience is laughing overtly every two seconds, exchanging comments here and there is not out of place at all, meanwhile when you watch a thriller, you probably better shut up to not ruin the mood. And don't get me started on when you watch pretentious arthouse shit. When, for whatever weird reason, you decide to watch a hungarian black and white "slow cinema" movie void of dialogue or anything fucking happening at all for two and a half hours, with a buddy... am I just gonna sit there and not say anything, and stare at a screen that doesn't say anything back? Would I show my unreflectedness with the artform if I talked at all, cause I'm supposed to shut it and soak it all in untainted? Or am I expected to exchange thoughts about it? About the plot of the film? Or the artist's intent...?

Anyway all I want to get across is, people act differently, and that's just how it is. When you watch the movie with a group of pony fans, like in a big mutual viewing event, you better expect some people to laugh overtly at all the jokes, feel the need to point everything out, and what have you. Because people are excited and want to share their excitement and if that's something you don't want to witness, go watch it on your own, if that's something you're up for, watch it in a group, but god stop acting like people just watch movies "wrong" because they don't behave like you do

OH I'm damn sure I do. When someone asks me to watch a movie together, I shortly weigh what kind of movie it is and what kind of person they are and what that means for the level of interaction we will be having during the movie. It's kind of a big deal for me.
