Yeah, OK, that's exactly what I've been doing. I use the filters, and don't downvote the hidden pics, because I don't watch them. I used the voting system to say what pics I liked and what pics I didn't like. I know that this isn't how it was supposed to be used, but that's how it works everywhere else, and I think that it was useful for all those pics that didn't have any kind of drama involved, which are the vast majority.

If the same artist uploads a couple of pics, and one looks great, and the other looks like shit, maybe I don't have time to say "the other one looked so much better than this one", but I have time to upvote the good one and downvote the bad one. And if the artist sees that one of the pic gets more upvotes and the other gets more downvotes, it's an useful feedback for him. An score of upvotes alone says nothing, a low score could mean that the pic is bad, or that less people saw it. It's completely useless.

In my opinion, a much better solution would have been to hide the score completely for pics tagged "drama", or something like that. For every other pic, "controversial" artist aside, the score was something useful, removing it is plainly stupid.
