I have this horrible, horrible idea for a story in which Luna is doing her usual mucking-aboot-in-ponies-dreams-thing and meets the survivors of a Delta Green black-ops team fleeing from an op gone bad deep in the Dreamlands. Luna may even be one of the Great Ones of the Dreamlands, and may even be able to deal with the horde of Satyrs of Leng that are chasing the humans--but what's beyond THEM, and are these humans going to try to escape the Dreamlands into Equestria, leaving a trail that can be followed by other horrors of the Mythos, from ghouls, gugs, and ghasts to Nyarlathotep himself? I'd argue their dynamic shines through in other encounters as well. Celestia's first reaction when confronted with Daybreaker is to find Luna, Celestia's first reaction when confronting NMM is to stall and evade and exploit an opening to use the EoH.

Both are warriors, and Luna is the more confrontational and direct. Directness is good if you're up against a hostile dragon, not so much if you're trying to strike a deal with Yaks.

I usually like to imagine that im giving her belly rubs or that im drifting off to sleep with her in my arms. I find it really hard to sleep now without cuddling the bundle of blankets. The fact that the blankets are navy blue also helps with the illusion.
