Characters introduced in the Legends of Magic comic series were actually characters created by DHX, and episodes with them in them are not IDW things being put in the show, but the actual stories of the characters instead of fanfictions from the comics.

All of the main characters introduced in Legends of Magic are going to be in the show, and some secondary. Because you know, they were designed by the show, for the show.
