This has been pretty obvious since the last comic's ENTIRE plot was literally based on the episode where pinkie was made an honorary yak.

Just being tied to the show isn't neccessarily a good thing though, as that comic's plot is almost universally seen as one of the worst ones yet.

I have a strong feeling Campfire Tales' only real purpose is to shill the comics
