She seems pretty empathetic to me and the only reason she did what did was because she thought she could create a better world.
What made her change was seeing the negative impact she was having and finally having the accept that the m6 have a strong friendship even though they're different.

I dunno about empathetic. I think the strongest argument for her being a sociopath is ELTSD. Normal people, especially empathic people, would not treat their friends that way.

Of course, the staff would never canonize her to be a sociopath. I must say, her behavior in season 5 and in ELSTD really lines up with that. But she learned her lesson. Plus, her behavior in Rock Solid Friendship is definitely not that of a sociopath. She really did care about Maud, and she sympathized with her a lot.
