Any movie, because none of the characters besides sunset or twilight ever experience any advance in characterization, instead staying timelocked to how their pony counterpart from years prior behaved. They are entirely unlike their current FiM counterparts. Go watch an episode featuring one of the mane 6 from season 2, watch one of the EQG shitpiles, and then watch an episode from season 6 or 7 featuring the same character, you'll see what I mean. If you like generic high school shlock with nonexistent character development then more power to you, but don't pretend that what you're enjoying is anything more than a cynical, low effort cash grab using your existing loyalty to a better franchise to hold your interest.

Any character in EqG that isn't some version of Twilight, Sunset, Glimmer, and maybe Spike is going to be flat as cardboard. There's a reason why fans of it focus on those four so much. I can at least be okay with this explanation, personally I'm one of the people who likes pretty much everything about MLP but I know there are some fans who liked certain elements more than others, and for some that was the fantasy element

I want high fantasy, or at the very least, steampunk that fits within the Edwardian design choices the series originally had. It's why shit like comic conventions and a pony Las Vegas being too modern pisses me off. Or Discord using a fucking smartphone, even as a joke.

There was a time when the art design/storyboarders gave a shit, now it feels like they are so overworked or something that they are lazy. The songs used to consistently clearly require the most work, now it's just used as a "oh how can we repeat animation" thing. Same shit happens in EqG. One of the main ways you can tell if a show is really being squeezed with its animation budget is seeing how long the characters just stand around and speak without moving too much. Noticed that more.

As an aspiring artist too, EqG is pretty much the wrong way to stylize a human form. So I have a bunch of issues both personal and problems that I perceive to be part of production.
