Fluttershy acts shy when she isn't the focus

Rainbow says awesome

Stop picking out Pinkie Pie as if this is something unique to her, Pinkie centric episodes are often some of the best

In a 22 minute show, every character is going to get boiled down to their core traits when an episode has to fit in 6 or more fucking character s who all need screen time

Is it just me, or was Pinkie actually more random back then, just in a different way? Don't get me wrong, she's random now, only she does random actions and what she says usually makes sense, even if she says it in a random way. Back then she was more random in what she said, nearly to the point of confusion. And I understand this episode takes that to it's limit for the resolution, but look at the end of Party for One or her backstory in the Cutie Mark Chronicles, she never gives context. Maybe she had a flaw, having a hard time communicating people, and she got over it, and we never even picked it up.

She loves to make other people happy, it makes perfect sense that she would be extremely distraught if her friends seemed to not want her around even if it wasn't true, she lives for friendship more than any other pony and is one of the few characters who doesn't seem to be a fucking narcissist

Why the fuck would you want one of the most iconic things from season 1 to be bastardized by getting another episode about it? Remember the return of Flutterguy? That was pretty forced and stupid. Though obviously my words are for nothing since there's a season 7 episode called "Secrets and Pies" coming up and it's pretty obvious that Pinkamena is returning. The real question is how bad will they fuck it up? The only way I can see it being good is if Joanna and Kristine are the writers.

No, it was a clever way of using a previous event in the show's history to tie the plot together. Twice in seven seasons is not overuse, and I'm glad to have iconic moments become repeating jokes while they are still funny.
