They are both shitty overdone trope characters. Fucking "i like pies" joke to indicate the stupidity and ignorance of a characters is dated back in the 70's with Looney Toons, and later in dozens other cartoons like Johny Bravo, Ed Edd and Eddy, Billy and Mandy, codename kids next door, and hundred more.

Has there ever been a movie that did this even remotely well? Even as a kid I never liked this concept.
The only one off the top of my head is Kronk from The Emperor's New Groove, but it's been well over a decade since I watched that movie so I might just be remembering wrong.

Kron had a chemistry with the villain. Grubber just make a fart jokes while Edgy poneh just ignores him and grunts.
It was never funny in the past and never will be in the future. Fucking exectuives looed up the charts to notice that every disney movie had a comic relief and they had to write Grubber in. I bet he could have been removed entirely and nothing in the story would change.
