Northern Excursion. Nip's aping of Carpenters 'The Thing' is not helped at all by the nonsensical pacing and general lack of tension or claustrophobia in the quest.
Furthermore Nip's inability or unwillingness to actually run without multi-month breaks completely killed the players desire to see anything deeper than an ending. Seeing the quest actually end was more interesting than the actual details of the ending. In general the story was carried exclusively on Nip's artistic ability and his reputation from past quests.

ButtQuest. Buttquest started fairly strong as a story but is, in my opinion, somewhat marred by the origins of the characters. Using wink and nod references to drive investment in characters feels cheap to me, but to hijackers credit it generally worked for the players who were interested in that sort of thing. The actual quest ran fairly decently with the twilight mission being unique and interesting. However as the quest ran long it felt like hijacker was running out of ideas to populate his missions worth and the player base was either incapable or uninterested in executing multi-step plans. All in all, there's nothing particular bad about butt quest but its edge dulled quickly.

Urban survival. Urban survival opened strong with a character that embodied and celebrated several negative character tendencies, but even from the beginning there was always a subtle subversion of Gar's racist tendencies. Res has the ability to be genuinely funny and managed to distill interesting and varied characters from character archetypes and both player and in universe stereotypes. Characters are rich and flavorful and fleshed out to be deeper than mere set pieces for Gar's story. But the quest is text only and art is a straight up advantage. It's length also discourages late arrivals, so while excellent it is not the top tier.
