personally i just couldn't care less. outside porn (and even this ive been away from recently) and /mlp/ ive been disassociated from the fandom. never was interested in cons or the music scene or any other "brony" things. i just hope it will continue being profitable enough to continue funding more episodes

It's more about the porn than anything, to be honest.

I tend to overreact when my source of wank material goes dead or disappears. When Darf ragequit, I got pissed and built an auto archival tool for FiMFiction, but ended up never using it. When /mlpol/ was killed, I got pissed and ended up building 95% of an imageboard written in C++, and then abandoned it. I'm just upset right now. And depressed.

I love the show and I love the fandom. And I can't honestly say creators quitting the fandom doesn't tilt me a bit.

A lot depends on the way they quit, though. I was fucking disgusted by what Alex S pulled off back then - especially after getting hist fucking work essentially referenced by the first EQG.
I'm kinda neutral about TLT's situation. I had a conversation with the guy and he explained his position to me. It's fucking sad he doesn't find MLP fun and inspirational anymore, however, he does respect the show and the fandom for what they've done for him and never tries to hide it - he still comes to cons and retweets art of his pony OC. I respect that.
Meanwhile, DuoCartoonist quitting didn't hit me that hard. Of course, it's a fucking shame to lose an amazing cartoonist group and knowing MLP fan-animation is frowned upon among at least some of the professional animators isn't nice either, however their reasoning of quitting MLP animation to avoid getting burnt-out and losing the actual joy MLP is bringing to them is genuinely understandable. And as much as losing artists makes me sad, knowing we didn't lost fans puts me at ease.

Anyone else genuinely considering suicide when the show ends?

MLP, and to a lesser extent the fandom, is one of the only things that really brings me joy anymore. When it ends, and it will in the next decade at the very most, I don't know if I'll even want to go on. I don't want to live a miserable life till the age of 70, when all the fandom content I used to love has been lost to time and there remains no horsefuckers to talk to. I want to go while there's still life and love for pony left in me. I never want to forget all this has done for me. It terrifies me, but at the same time it comforts me. When I go, it'll be at my control. I believe Equestria waits, and I want to die while I still long for it like I long for it now.

Or, alternatively, you can make this into your life goal (because as it sounds you don't really have one) to preserve the fandom and provide the content.
Fandoms don't really die. They become smaller and less active, but don't really die completely unless there's complete absence of any content for several years straight. And providing content is something you personally can absolutely do, even if you don't know how to create anything new at the moment.

Like I said earlier, I've got a FiMFiction archival program that I can dust off, make sure that it archives timestamps of every chapter between each update or something like that, to prevent people replacing their whole story with blank chapters.

Maybe make one for Derpibooru. Get that music archive that floating around (Is it still seeded?) The whole shebang.

Well, I don't know about people who threw a fit and stated they are quitting the fandom only to return later (Tommy Oliver, I guess?) but there were cases of a creator being considered long done and gone only to return later.
Two examples I can name off the top of my head would be:
2snacks who wasn't uploading anything pony-related (or anything at all, to be honest) only to return about 7 months ago and continue to work on TBSP.

I miss all those ask blogs with their own interpretations of Equestria, they were always interesting. Barley any were finished, sadly. The only one I can remember of off my head that was finished was the one tied in with the Pony.mov series.

Been on the ride since 2011 and barely even cared about anything that's going on anywhere except for this place, and even then I tend to ignore 80% of it. I guess it pays off in the end.
