Really? Because from an animator and storyboarder's standpoint that's the face of an idiot who's trying to cram as many emotions as possible into 1 expression instead of keeping each of them separate.

This is the work of an amateur who had no idea what the hell he was trying to accomplish.
But I might just guess what he was trying to do. It's a disappointment face on the verge of crying, but with a hint of cringe into it. You can see the cheeks are too high and the eyebrow are too low. and the eye shape doesn't let the actual eye be seen enough. He also refuses to use the pupil and full eye for the complete effect.

Everything FIM's expressions relies on their gigantic eyes, you fuck up the eyes and you screw up the entire expression.
