Fan content
Since we have a lot of negativity about the status of fan content, what would you guys want to see made?
what weve seen over the years are
>PMVs
>Music
>Animations
>Fan episodes from show clips
>Drawings
>Porn
>Episode reviews and analyses
>Games / Mods
>Novelty software (desktop ponies)
>Plushies
>Fanfics
anything im missing?
I think we have enough PMVs to last a couple of decades, and everyone is making Episode reviews now (I saw like 6 for the latest episode). A lot of the novelty content has warn off, like mods that just change characters into ponies.
What what I can tell, porn, drawings and fanfics are still going strong, but because of the amount of content already available, the amount clasified as 'good' gets less and less. Same problem with animations, back when I was making animations we were only like 3 people making show accurate ones, and any bullshit like a 3 second clip of twilight eating a butterfly garenteed to make you horse famous. Now after a couple of series of short animations, 2 full fan episodes, and tons of shorted ones, its really hard to make anything that would be considered good quality.
I think the problem isnt a decrease in content creators, its that we fucked ourselves with good content and now its getting hard to make anything that can compete with what we already have.
One thing we still dont have is a good pony game, and there are a couple of people working on ones atm.
tl;dr - If someone with the skills to make any fan content asked you what to make, what would you ask of him?

They just abandoned their last pillar with Dawn Somewhere. Mark my words this is the last pillar. Anything that isn't porn will be hated upon because a bunch of mindless fucking simpletons would rather hate the show they pretend to love then actually take a second to think "maybe we should help"
4chan may be where the show has started but it's definately no fan of it now. I wouldn't be too surprised if its where it ends too.

Since the start everyone here has been hating on fan content, but make a thread actually discussing something specific like fan music, and except for 1 or 2 '>listening to fan music' posts the overwhelming majority in the threads love it.

what counts as being part of the fandom? Watch and like youtube vids of others in the fandom? donate to patron?
Ive made some stuff thats been on EQD in the past, and im working on some things right now that im hoping to release near the end of the season/ when the movie comes out.

Maybe help me with recordingdeath metalvocals because I can't for the life of me sing and have nowhere to record it, and I have some edgy pone music ideas that at this point will sit on paper forever.
Other than that I prefer to pull my own weight and not ask anyone any favours. I'd rather create content myself.
