Honestly I'm starting to think that Celestia acts weak and incompetent just to give other people a chance to shine, because if she can be easily captured by changelings or fucking vines then she would've never have been able to rule for a thousand years. Of course I'm giving the writers too much credit and they're just incompetent hacks who are literally incapable of writing a thousand year monarch/national hero/headmaster who isn't a disappointment, freaking Dumbledore has a better showing than Celestia and the greatest act of his life was setting up a child to get killed.
