As long as this board exists, as long as the MLP communities on Reddit, Tumblr, iFunny, and all the other cancerous shitstains exist, as long as people keep buying merch, as long as people keep going to and running conventions entirely for fans of this show (that aren't run by anyone from Hasbro in any way), and, most importantly, as long as My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic keeps making so much goddamn money, This ride will not stop. It will not end.
In terms of entertainment, G4 My Little Pony is one of the biggest cash cows [outside of capeshit] that anybody has ever seen before. Just the fact that this plucky little reboot of a show which was always seen as "just another little girls' cartoon" and "a toy line advertisement in the form of a television show" managed to spawn a fandom of adults /and/ children that got as large as it did and lasted as long as it has (those two might as well be mutually exclusive) is mind boggling, even to the people who created the show, including momma Faust. The fact that this fandom is still hanging on, still watching new episodes week after week, still spending money on merch, and still creating fanart, fanfiction, and other fan-content shows Hasbro that their investment into this franchise is paying them dividends galore, and that they should continue milking this cash cow if they want to make even more ridiculous amounts of money. And so that is exactly what they're going to do. As long as the fandom keeps going strong, as long as Hasbro keeps making boatloads of money off of the show, then they will keep churning out episodes, season, and movies, and they will continue to thank the fans in their own strange and rather unnecessary way (100th episode).

tl;dr anyone who in-ironically thinks that this ride is going to stop, much less end anytime soon is delusional, Hasbro is making a fucking killing off of this.
