I think of her as a sort of anithero in a way. Her episodes seem more interesting because she address problems that deviate from the innocent norm with the mane 6 such as everyone hating you because of past mistakes, fears and regrets of making terrible mistakes, things like that are why I like the glimmer episodes. I'd say there's more indepth or deeper rooted problems with glimmer than the shallow, can be resolved in one episode mane 6 episodes.

thats exactly what got me into the show anonglimmer is like the second coming of asshurt but affecting the same people who tore into every other community i genuinely like starlight though, and especially like that she opens opportunities for more interesting characters to get more screentime like trixie and maud. its just another cherry on top

The neat thing about Glimmer's characterization is that she's actually not folding into the "perfect character" model the other characters have been getting into. As the rest of the group learns lessons and grows into well-rounded individuals who think generally about what they do, Glimglam doesn't really like that sort of lifestyle. She's more of a loose cannon who enjoys crazy shit and tries to solve problems with it.

Like Trixie was saying in episode 2 this season, Starlight was starting to get boring by turning into "generic friend number 7". Her anger and outbursts of magic and general nuttiness are what make her fun.
