Can you really be surprised? In S5 she didn't have any meaningful involvement outside the premiere and finale, the former having aired more than two years ago. Even though she had more involvement in S6, there were still a good few episodes that had nothing to do with her.

I think it's because in the early seasons, there were a lot more ensemble cast episodes, so everyone got plenty of screen time. Glimmer's still been mostly relegated to episodes about her specificially, though. The only exception we've gotten so far is the recent Rock Solid Friendship.
