The pony show got too big and so the fanbase was flooded by people who didn't actually like the show but needed a personality substitute, as mlp was the new alternative to the alternative they latched on.

Hopefully the show will come to end and the leeches will craw off to the next big social epoch and the people who truly love mlp will be left to enjoy their fandom.

This is true of all the great kids shows that took risks, treated children with respect (and not like fragile empty headed retards) and did things that other children shows didn't have the balls to do.

Friendship is Magic will take its place on my shelf next to the likes of the Disney movies, The Don Bluth Movies, Trap Door, Dangermouse/Count Duckula, The Galaxy Rangers, Batman the Animated Series/Justice League, Avatar: the last Airbender and all the other great shows.
